About the 2023 Art Exhibition
The Singapore Youth Festival Art Exhibition celebrates the artist in every child. It showcases students’ creative ideas, personal aspirations and hard work put into artistic expressions. As part of the art curriculum, the exhibition facilitates dialogue on ideas, inspirations and art processes among student artists and audiences in schools and the community.
This year’s SYF Art Exhibition, themed ‘Artist and Inspiration’, aims to nurture in students a keen appreciation for historical and cultural influences in art. Primary school student artists are invited to submit original creations inspired by selected artworks of key local and international artists. The exhibition will be presented on-site at Stamford Arts Centre, complemented by an online showcase on the SYF website i.e. The Online Gallery.
Exhibition Details
The exhibition was opened officially by Director-General of Education, Ms Liew Wei Li on 17 July, Monday, 2 p.m. at Stamford Arts Centre. (Attendance is by invitation only.)
The exhibition was open for public viewing from 18 July to 30 July 2023, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
